Origin: The Orange tree is native to China and India and was brought to Europe around the 17th century. These days it is found abundantly in the Mediterranean region, Israel and the Americas.

Description: Fresh, invigorating aroma

History: Once known as the 'golden apple' the orange was thought to have been given to Venus from Paris as a gift. Orange peel was used in Curacao, the exotic liquor. This oil is commonly used in both the perfume and food industries.

Properties and Indications:

Calming digestive properties
Mild laxative - excellent for constipation
Relaxing
Can help with colds and sore throats
Good for dry skin, dermatitis, and winkles
Overall skin tonic

Personality:

Can be very uplifting for suffers of depression and encourages a positive outlook on life

Contra-indications:

Do not expose yourself to the sun after using Orange as it is photosensitive

Blending:

When mixed with spicey or herb oils, Orange can make the blend sweeter
